The FFA Chapter of Lorain County JVS held its annual banquet to celebrate the students’ successes and accomplishments of the past year. With family and friends in attendance, every career development event was announced and the top students in each event were awarded plaques and pins.

Beth Berthold, Landscape and Greenhouse Management instructor, and FFA advisor shared that the banquet is something she looks forward to each year.

“It is great to see the students from both the Agricultural Equipment Mechanics and the Landscape and Greenhouse Management programs come together to put on this annual event,” shared Berthold. “I always enjoy seeing the pride in the students as they are recognized for their achievements in front of their peers and family.”

The banquet concluded with the students who will hold an office in the LCJVS FFA Chapter next school year being announced. They are as follows; Mandolin Buckles, a first-year Agricultural Equipment Mechanics student from Elyria; Gwen Dennison, a second-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Elyria; Kailey Evans, a first-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Midview; Kirby Herrera, a first-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Columbia; Hannah Pressnell, a first-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Elyria; Alea Stewart, a first-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Wellington; and Ryan Watkins, a first-year Landscape and Greenhouse Management student from Amherst.
